The government has allocated 419 million hryvnias to six regional military administrations. The funds will go to the Sumy, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv regions.
This was announcedbyUkrainianPrime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi.
The funds will be used to pay the salaries of employees of regional and district military administrations.
“People are living and working under extremely difficult conditions. It is our duty to provide all necessary support,” Serhiy Koretskyi noted.
The Prime Minister also instructed the Ministry of Communities, Territories, and Internally Displaced Persons to prepare a decision by mid-August regarding the special status of employees in frontline regions.
Earlier,the Verkhovna Rada approved a 32-million-euro grant for museums and historical sites in Odesa. This will enable the launch of the “Restoration and Preservation of the Cultural Heritage of the Odesa Region” program. A total of 234 members of parliament voted in favor of the corresponding bill.
The agreement was signed on July 10 in Rome during the Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine. Under the terms of the agreement, the Italian Republic is providing Ukraine with 32.5 million euros in non-repayable financial assistance.
The program provides forthe restorationand preservation of monuments located in the historic center of Odesa, which has the status of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Among the sites scheduled for restoration are the Odesa National Art Museum, the Museum of Western and Eastern Art, the Regional Philharmonic, the Literary Museum, the Zontag House, and the Wedding Palace.
