The Odesa City Territorial Election Commission found no errors in the certification of Olga Makogonyuk as a city council member based on the results of the 2020 election.

The TEC reported this in a response to a request from Suspilne amid the recall of deputies from the “Trust the Deeds” party.

In September, the political party announced the recall of six members of the Odesa City Council. Olga Makohonuk was among them. At the same time, reports circulated that she had allegedly been mistakenly recognized as an elected council member.

The Territorial Election Commission explained that in 2026, it considered the issue of determining the next candidate in line due to the early termination of Makohonuk’s term as a council member.

According to the TEC, a letter from the Central Election Commission dated September 25 states that the next candidate on the unified electoral list of the “Trust the Deeds” party is Viktoria Blintsova (Bodnar), who ran under number 35.

As a reminder, on October 28, the Odesa City Council welcomed five new council members from the “Trust the Deeds” party. Mandates were awarded to Zakhar Petrovitsky, Oleksiy Kislovsky, Vladislav Kasatkin, Iryna Iordanova, and Viktoria Bohdan. The Territorial Election Commission confirmed their mandates following a prolonged conflict within the political party.

In particular, the party had previously announced the recall of council members Oleg Bryndak, Marina Lozovenko, Oleksandr Matveev, and Vasyl Ieremiya. The latter challenged the decision in court, which prohibited the party from recalling him pending resolution of the dispute.
