New personnel changes have taken place at Odessa City Hall

There have been personnel changes at the Odesa City Council. New officials will assume the duties of the executive committee’s administrative director and deputy mayor.

The relevant orders were signed by Acting Mayor and City Council Secretary Ihor Koval.

Accordingto the order,Oksana Chernova will temporarily serve as the Executive Committee Administrator of the Odesa City Council. She is replacing the regular incumbent, Oleksandr Tykhovskyi, who has taken parental leave to care for a child under the age of three.

The appointment is effective as of July 24, 2026, and will remain in effect until the position is filled in accordance with the procedure provided by law.

The appointment was based on a request from Chernova herself and a recommendation from First Deputy Mayor Oleksandr Filatov.

Byanother order,Oleksiy Botezat will temporarily serve as Deputy Mayor of Odesa for the Activities of the Council’s Executive Bodies.

This appointment also took effect on July 24, 2026, and will remain in effect until the position is filled in accordance with the procedure established by law. The basis for this appointment was a statement by Botezat and a recommendation from First Deputy Mayor Oleksandr Filatov.

Both appointments were made in accordance with Article 42 of the Law of Ukraine “On Local Self-Government in Ukraine” and Article 10 of the Law of Ukraine “On Service in Local Self-Government Bodies”; salaries were set in accordance with the staffing table.

The Odessa City Council’s website indicates that, in addition to the newly appointed Oksana Chernova and Oleksiy Botezat, Igor Koval’s deputies include First Deputy Oleksandr Filatov, Deputy Alla Bekh, as well as acting deputies Andriy Makovetskyi, Volodymyr Krylenko, and Olena Yakimenko.
