In Pivdennoukrainsk, the fate of a municipal enterprise with a 15-million fund is being decided

In Pivdennoukrainsk, Mykolaiv Oblast, city council members will decide the future of the municipal book-selling enterprise “Kobzar,” which operates a revolving fund of 15 million hryvnias.

After completing consideration of the agenda items, Deputy Mayor Maria Drozdova briefed the deputies on the current state of affairs at the “Kobzar” municipal enterprise. At present, city authorities must decide both on the future of the enterprise itself and on the future of the revolving fund.
Following the discussion, the council members issued a formal directive to be addressed at the next session to “determine the main directions for the continued operation of the “Kobzar” Municipal Enterprise.”
No final decision regarding the future of the “Kobzar” municipal enterprise was made during the 71st session.
Earlier, Intent reported that deputies had already considered the possibility of liquidating the enterprise. A corresponding draft resolution was developed by the Housing and Utilities Department at the request of the balance sheet commission.
The document provided for the liquidation of the “Kobzar” municipal enterprise, the creation of a liquidation commission, and the completion of the necessary registration procedures.
During the preparation of the draft, it became clear that the enterprise had a revolving fund of 15 million hryvnias. In the event of “Kobzar’s” liquidation, these funds would have to be reclaimed early from the homeowners’ associations that had received them.
Members of the relevant committee considered three options for the company’s future: liquidation, merger with the municipal enterprise “Krytyi Rynok,” or an attempt to resume business operations.
Deputies cited significant debts as one of “Kobzar’s” problems. In addition, according to them, the company had not maintained its primary accounting records for the past two years.
