In the city of Reni, Odesa Oblast, fares on public minibuses are set to increase starting July 15. Instead of the current fare, passengers will pay 25 hryvnias per trip.

The relevant notices have been posted directly on public transportation vehicles, but no official explanation regarding the reasons for the fare increase has been released yet.

As of the time of publication, there is no information on the Renii City Council’s official website regarding the fare increase for minibuses.

Incidentally, similar changes have already affected the regional capital. On June 27, new fares for public city buses went into effect in Odesa—the cost of a single trip rose to 25 hryvnias.

The Odesa City Council announced the price change. Officials there emphasized that local authorities do not set bus fares independently—they are calculated according to an approved methodology for determining the cost of passenger road transport services.

This is the third fare increase since the start of the full-scale invasion. In November 2024, fares rose to 20 hryvnias, and in July 2022,faresonOdesa’sroute taxis rose to 15 hryvnias; the cost of public transportation last increased in October 2021.

Also, starting July 1, public transportation fares in Izmail, Odesa Oblast, were raised to 25 hryvnias. The main reason for the fare increase was rising fuel prices.
