In Mykolaiv, half a million has been allocated for repairs to the facade of the local history museum

The Mykolaiv Regional Local History Museum, a municipal cultural institution, has announced a tender for routine repairs to the building’s facade worth over 500,000 hryvnias. The deadline for submitting bids is July 17, 2026.
The relevant information has been published on the Prozorro e-procurement system.
The auction is scheduled to begin on July 20, 2026. The criterion for selecting the winner is price. The source of funding is listed as the local budget.
According to the documentation, the services must be provided by December 31, 2026.
During the full-scale war, the Mykolaiv Regional Museum of Local History came under fire five times. The building was damaged, with the northern section suffering the most damage. There, suspended ceilings collapsed and windows were shattered. Overall, the museum was closed for the entire year of 2022. It reopened to visitors in March 2023. At that time, 90 windows, 20 doors, and 150 light fixtures were installed using funds from the regional budget. The roof was repaired using the institution’s own funds.
The Mykolaiv Regional Local History Museum is one of the largest local history museums in Ukraine. It houses the most comprehensive collection of materials on the history and culture of the Northern Black Sea region and the city of Mykolaiv.
As a reminder, a museum dedicated to the totalitarian period may be establishedinMykolaiv, featuring dismantled monuments from the Soviet era. Currently, most of these objects have already been collected and are being stored at the regional local history museum.
Earlier, in the Kherson region, a contractor who was carrying out repairs at the local history museum in the de-occupied territory of the Beryslav district was notified of being a suspect. Investigators determined that the company’s director, knowing that the work had not been fully completed, submitted acceptance reports containing false information. The documents listed work and construction materials that were not actually used or completed.
