A meeting of the executive committee has been convened in Odesa to consider a wide range of issues, from transportation and the environment to social support and infrastructure. The agenda includes dozens of decisions that will affect the life of the city, including programs for IDPs and the development of electric transport.
This was reported by the press service of the Odesa City Council.
A meeting of the executive committee began in Odesa on April 9 at 11:00 am. The agenda includes finance, transport infrastructure, social policy, ecology and communal property management.
Among the key topics is amending the decision to establish a commission for the distribution of public investments in the community. Special attention will be paid to environmental policy: amendments to the city environmental program for 2022-2028 will be submitted for consideration. The electric transport development program will also be updated. In the area of municipal services, it is planned to revise the work of commissions that deal with the acceptance of infrastructure facilities into municipal ownership, including heat, water and electricity supply networks.
The economic block provides for the determination of the cost of renting housing in the city for the first quarter of 2026. This decision is important both for the domestic market and for calculating social benefits.
The social area includes several decisions to support internally displaced persons - both to provide housing assistance and to refuse such payments. It is also planned to approve a new version of the charter of the city center for humanitarian aid and the procedure for providing people with disabilities with prosthetic and orthopedic devices. The issue of providing such devices to military personnel and veterans who were injured or ill during the war was also discussed at the meeting.
In the area of security, it is planned to update decisions on the city's material reserve for responding to emergencies, as well as redistribute property between municipal structures. The architectural block includes the approval of the project proposal for the installation of a monument to Lesia Ukrainka with the improvement of the surrounding area.
They will also consider changes in the field of cultural heritage, in particular, the accounting and inventory of monumental art objects.
A separate issue concerns the development of proposals for providing housing for orphans and family-type orphanages at the expense of a state subvention.
The meeting will be broadcast online, allowing citizens to follow the decision-making in real time.
In early April, an extraordinary meeting of the executive committee of the city council was convened in Odesa to consider the situation around the cultural heritage sites at 10 Frantsuzsky Boulevard. This is a high-profile story about the dismantling of a historic building.
