The executive committee has convened for a regular meeting in Odesa to discuss budget adjustments, social payments and urban development issues. The focus is on changes to the 2026 budget, support for war victims, and new initiatives for veterans and the community.

On March 26, 2026, a regular meeting of the Executive Committee of the Odesa City Council began at 11:00 am. The meeting will be broadcast online, and the agenda includes a wide range of issues, from changes to the city budget to social programs and compensation for destroyed housing.
One of the key items will be consideration of proposals to amend the budget of the Odesa city territorial community for 2026. The executive committee also plans to approve an indicative work plan for the second quarter of the year and consider the transfer of material assets to the Odesa volunteer unit.
A separate set of issues will concern the social sphere. In particular, the members of the executive committee will consider a decision to provide compensation for housing destroyed as a result of the war to residents of Kyiv and Peresypsky districts. In addition, a number of programs to support vulnerable groups, internally displaced persons and veterans will be considered.
Among the initiatives are changes to the Odesa Veteran program, the issue of financial assistance to the families of fallen soldiers, and the determination of the maximum number of employees of the Veteran Hub service office.
In the area of urban space, the council planned to approve schemes for outdoor advertising on a number of key streets, including Akademika Filatova, Kosmonavtiv, Shevchenko Avenue, and Frantsuzsky Boulevard.
The meeting also reviewed reports on the implementation of city target programs in 2025, including those in the areas of education, youth policy, social protection, and the environment.
In total, the agenda covered dozens of issues related to finance, social policy, infrastructure and city development.
At the last extraordinary meeting of the executive committee, the issues of defense and urban infrastructure were discussed. The executive committee also approved a project to improve the waterfront. This is a section of the coast from Lanzheron Beach to Zolotyi Bereg Beach, which is part of the first phase of work.
