An executive committee meeting was convened in Odesa to discuss a subsidy for family-style children's homes

Ihor Koval, Acting Mayor of Odesa, convened an extraordinary meeting of the executive committee on July 15.
According to the press service of the Odesa City Government, the agenda includes a single item regarding the creation of a city commission to develop proposals on the need to allocate a subsidy from the state budget to local budgets for the implementation of a public investment program to provide housing for family-type children’s homes.
The commission is to consist of 15 members:
- Ihor Koval—chair of the city commission, acting mayor, and secretary of the city council;
- Alla Bekh — co-chair of the city commission, deputy mayor;
- Ilya Zugravyi — Deputy Chair of the City Commission, Head of the Children’s Services Department;
- Olga Volodivshchuk — secretary of the city commission, deputy head of the Children’s Services Department;
- Stanislav Akimenko — Deputy Director of the Department of Architecture, Urban Planning, and Land Relations;
- Olga Hnatiuk — Chief Specialist of the Division for Coordination of Housing Management and Interaction with Building Managers, Department of Municipal Services;
- Tetyana Zhizhina-D’yachenko — Head of the Corporate Rights and Management Assessment Sector of the Privatization and Municipal Property Valuation Division within the Department of Municipal Property;
- Olga Ignatova — Head of the Division of Information, Legal, and Human Resources Affairs of the Legal Department;
- Viktoria Pleshko — Director of the Center for Social Services;
- Oksana Rudakova — Chief Specialist of theSector forSocial Protection and Social Security Financing in the Division for Financing the Social and Cultural Sphere of the Department of Finance;
- Natalia Serova — Head of the Territorial Community Registry Division and Administrator of the Department of Administrative Services;
- Olena Solovyova — Chief Specialist of the Corruption Prevention Division;
- Alla Chechelnytska — Deputy Director of the Department of Labor and Social Policy;
- Valentina Cholak — Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Science;
- Lyudmila Shpak — Head of the Resettlement Division of the Capital Construction Office.
The commission will: determine the funding needs required to provide housing for family-type children’s homes; provide recommendations and proposals regarding residential properties planned for acquisition to provide housing for family-type children’s homes; approve these properties and any major renovations to them; and review and verify the documentation for these properties.
