Valentyna Kubu was dismissed from her position as director of the Odesa municipal enterprise “Malynovsky Market.” Her employment contract was terminated by mutual agreement.
The corresponding order was signed by Acting Mayor Ihor Koval.
Valentin Kuba had headed Malynovsky Market since July 1, 2024. He held the position of director for over two years.
Kuba was born in Odesa and studied at the Simferopol Military-Political School. He began his musical career in the 1990s, gaining popularity through his performances of “Odesa urban folklore,” original songs, and ballads. Kuba is the founder, lead singer, and frontman of the Odesa-based band “Mama’s Children.”
He has been repeatedly invited to perform at city festivals, “Trust the Deeds” party rallies, and campaign concerts.
Valentin Kuba is known for his friendly relationship with former mayor and politician Vyacheslav Kruk. And in 2018, at one of Kuba’s musical evenings, Hennadiy Trukhanov sat down at the drums and played a song with Kuba. On January 17, 2022, Valentin Kuba wished Trukhanov a happy birthday right in the middle of a staff meeting. At that time, the singer reworked the lyrics of the song “Odesan Mishka,” replacing the words with “Odesan Gena.” Afterward, the singer presented the former mayor with a cap and a scarf.
