UAH 68 million allocated for transportation infrastructure in Kherson

The Kherson City Military Administration has updated its plans for the development of transport and road infrastructure for 2025. The changes provide for additional funding for electric transport, motor vehicles and other areas, as well as compensation for employees of utility companies.
This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations.
The amendments are aimed at efficient use of budget funds and implementation of the Program for the Development of Road Facilities, Urban Passenger Transport and Electric Transport in Kherson. The work plan has been supplemented with new items on maintenance and development of ground electric transport, motor vehicles and other areas.
The electric transport sector provides for compensation for unused vacations, accruals for compensation and severance pay in case of redundancy, the total amount of which exceeds UAH 68.7 million.
The amendments apply to the municipal enterprises City Road Department, Khersonelectrotrans, Kherson Municipal Transport Service and Service Center. Control over the implementation of the order is entrusted to the deputy mayors on the activities of the executive bodies of the council.
The financing of Khersonelectrotrans provides for the payment of compensation for unused vacations in the amount of UAH 6,562,716, accruals for these compensations in the amount of UAH 1,443,797, and severance pay in the amount of UAH 326,648.
The City Road Department will receive UAH 27,011,070 for the purchase of salt for road gritting and additional expenses of UAH 323,700.
For Kherson Municipal Transport Service, the total funding amounts to UAH 22,434,414, including UAH 12,226,648 in salaries, UAH 2,689,862 in payroll taxes, UAH 285,929 in tires, UAH 54,925 in batteries and UAH 231,900 in spare parts.
The Municipal Enterprise Service Center will receive UAH 771,663 to comply with the decision of the Commercial Court of Odesa Region to satisfy the claims of Kherson Regional Energy Supply Company LLC, of which UAH 83,010 will be used for accruals.
In 2025, Kherson Municipal Utility Company is focused on the development of the city. Kherson focused on updating the water supply network and ensuring stable electricity supply. The main expenses were for capital repairs and modernization of equipment - the company spent more than UAH 185 million for these needs.
