Mykolaiv residents have once again received humanitarian aid from the French municipality of Narbonne. This time, the French handed over a car and a truck with medicines to the Ukrainians.

Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych announced the humanitarian action on his Facebook page.

According to the mayor, the donated vehicle is intended for a utility company. The medicines will be distributed among hospitals in the city and region.

Humanitarian aid from French partners has already become a tradition. In April of this year, Narbonne already donated a batch of medicines and 10 vehicles to Mykolaiv region.

The Narbonne Ukraine Association (President - Gilles Bourguignon) has been helping Mykolaiv since 2022. During this time, the Mykolaiv community has received equipment, medicines, Christmas gifts for children, and much more.

In addition to France, Denmark also helps Mykolaiv. Earlier, Denmark agreed to finance the repair of a kindergarten in Mykolaiv that was damaged during the shelling in May 2025. The windows were smashed and the roof was damaged. Today, about 100 children attend this kindergarten every day.

Denmark also donated 9 new trolleybuses to Mykolaiv. Earlier, Mykolaiv had already received 9 trolleybuses as part of this cooperation, so the total rolling stock ofMykolaivelectrotrans has already been replenished with 18 vehicles. Thanks to the new trolleybuses, the city plans to open two new routes in the Korabelnyi district on August 18.

Mykolaiv region also received inclusive school buses for three communities. The purchase took place as part of a public investment project supported by the European Union under the Ukraine Facility. The specialized vehicles are equipped with lifts, wheelchair locks, and other means that allow for the safe transportation of children with special needs.
