The head of the Odesa Regional Council, Hryhoriy Didenko, has ordered to convene a regular session of the council, which is to be the first in 2025.
According to the council chairman's order, the meeting is to be held as planned on February 28.
The agenda has not yet been finalized, so it looks like a list of sections in which draft decisions will be distributed later:
- On the activities of the regional council and its bodies.
- On budget and finance.
- On targeted programs, concepts, and urban planning.
- On jointly owned objects of territorial communities, villages, towns, and cities of the region.
- On land relations.
- On the creation, liquidation, change of name, approval of charters, municipal enterprises, institutions, and amendments to them on their activities.
- Other issues fall within the competence of the regional council.
- Appeals of deputies.
- Deputies' inquiries.
- Miscellaneous.
The deputies may once again support an appeal in support of President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, but there is no draft decision on this on the council's website yet.
The last session of 2024 took place on December 12. The deputies, in particular, terminated the powers of Viktor Andreienkov, a deputy of the Odesa Regional Council of the VIII convocation, taking into account his personal statement and the exclusion of the deputy from the Standing Committee of the Regional Council on Legal Policy, Law Enforcement, Fighting Organized Crime and Corruption.
The previoussession was held in October, when Hryhoriy Didenko, the head of the Odesa Regional Council, ordered an extraordinary meeting of the deputies. The agenda consisted of four items. The first one envisages the formation of a counting commission, after which, in the second item, the deputies are to be asked to support an appeal to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and foreign partner regions of Odesa Oblast to support the Victory Plan presented by the President earlier.
Earlier, a session of the Odesa City Council was held for the same reason. The city council members unanimously supported the President's Victory Plan and approved a number of issues related to changes in the city's targeted programs. By the way, the Odesa City Council is planning a regular meeting on December 4. On November 22, the city council members gathered for an extraordinary session where they supported funding for the repair of buildings damaged by Russian attacks. The decision was made unanimously.
