The National Park and the Regional Cancer Center in Mykolaiv Oblast may be headed by new managers. According to the law, during the period of martial law, the heads of such institutions may be appointed without a competition based on proven qualifications.
These issues were discussed at a meeting of the Mykolaiv Regional Council's Housing, Capital Construction and Architecture Committee.
At the next session, the Mykolaiv Regional Council is to consider appointing Maksym Beznosenko to the position of director of the Mykolaiv Regional Oncology Center without competitive selection.
Maksym Beznosenko has been working at the cancer center since 2000, has 25 years of experience in oncology, a PhD in medicine, and a healthcare manager. In 2016, he was awarded the title of Honored Doctor of Ukraine. Since 2018, he has been acting director of the cancer center.
According to him, over the past year, the institution has made significant improvements, including updating its material and technical base, carrying out repairs, and installing an 80 kW solar power plant with sponsorship. The center provides assistance not only to residents of Mykolaiv region but also to patients from Kherson region.
After the end of martial law, an open competition for the position of director will be announced within six months.
The deputies also submitted a draft decision to appoint a new director of the Granite-Steppe Pobuzhzhia Regional Landscape Park. According to the document, it is proposed to temporarily appoint Oleksandr Moldovanov to this position for the period of martial law and for another six months after its completion.
Oleksandr Moldovanov already has considerable experience in managing the park, as he has been performing these duties since 2016. He noted that during the difficult years of 2022-2023, the park continued to operate without additional budget funding, using its own revenues.
The draft decision was published on the website of the Department of Ecology, and the final decision on the appointment will be considered at the 27th extraordinary session of the Mykolaiv Regional Council.
Last year, MPs supported the appointment of two deputy chairmen of the regional council, Anton Tabunschyk. Igor Shcherbina and Denis Andreyev were elected as deputies. In addition, Khrystyna Malysh and Olha Ostapchuk, who previously represented the banned Nash Krai party, joined the deputy corps. They replaced Yuriy Kormyshkin and Oleh Malyarenko, who resigned their seats.
