An extraordinary session of the regional council has been convened in Mykolaiv. The deputies will consider only one issue.

This is evidenced by the order of the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Council Anton Tabunschyk.

According to the order, the plenary meeting of the twenty-eighth extraordinary session of the regional council is scheduled for February 25, 2025, at 10 am. It was decided to hold the meeting remotely in the form of a video conference.

There is only one item on the agenda - the appeal of the Mykolaiv Regional Council of the eighth convocation to support President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

Intent decided not to broadcast the event online, as the deputies are implementing the policy of the Soviet Union with this appeal.

At the last session of the regional council, Svitlana Fedorova, a deputy from the banned Nash Krai party, and Vladyslav Nevesely, a deputy from the Servant of the People party, resigned early. Svitlana Fedorova explained her resignation by disagreeing to work with the current leadership, which, according to her, demonstrates inaction, corruption and evasion of mobilization.

The deputies also supported the decision to take over seven vocational schools, which have been financed from the regional budget for more than 163 million hryvnias but remained in state ownership. This is a free transfer of integral property complexes of educational institutions.

The deputies identified the creation of a transport and logistics hub with a developed port infrastructure, the development of the blue economy, the introduction of alternative energy sources and an innovative agricultural sector as new areas for the region's development.

In addition, members of the Mykolaiv Regional Council are now required to report annually to voters on their activities in accordance with the updated legal requirements. Given the security risks, the reports will be published online on the official website of the regional council.
