In Mykolaiv, two hospitals wrote off non-working medical equipment and cars. The property was damaged as a result of enemy shelling in 2022.
The relevant decision was made at a meeting of the city council's standing committee on human rights, children, family, legality, and publicity.
The commission members reviewed and supported a draft decision to grant consent to write off fixed assets of municipal property that was on the balance sheet of City Hospital No. 5.
The list of property to be written off includes three vehicles made in 1989, 1991, and 1993, which previously belonged to the Zhovtnevyi Central District Hospital.
Also, 40 pieces of medical equipment are to be written off. Eight of them - made in 2016-2021 - were severely damaged as a result of the Russian shelling of the hospital in April 2022 and cannot be restored. The rest of the equipment is morally and physically outdated and has not been used in the hospital for a long time.
The commission members were interested in the possibility of transferring the vehicles to the needs of the Armed Forces, but it was noted that they were inoperable. The city has previously donated 39 vehicles to the military.
Following the meeting, the commission supported the decision to write off the property.
The city also wrote off five pieces of outdated equipment from the dental clinic, which has a zero book value and cannot be repaired. Among the items written off were a dental X-ray machine, a dental unit, two casting units and a muffle furnace for dental prosthetics.
During the discussion, it was noted that all three municipal dental enterprises have signed an agreement with the National Health Service of Ukraine. They provide free treatment and dental prosthetics to the military both at the expense of the city budget and the NHSU.
In January, the city also decided to write off outdated medical equipment. In total, four medical institutions in the city submitted requests for write-offs. Among the items written off were a cardiac defibrillator, a washing machine, a dental chair, and cars.
In addition, Mykolaiv reorganized its medical institutions. The Center for Socially Significant Diseases was merged with the Primary Health Care Center No. 2. This will improve the provision of medical services, in particular in the field of primary care, treatment, prevention and diagnosis of socially dangerous diseases such as tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, parenteral hepatitis, etc.
In 2024, Mykolaiv hospitals treated more than 50 thousand patients. They also introduced a number of innovations, opened free dentistry, carried out repairs and implemented medical care programs.
