Kherson water supply network is to receive 36 million in investments

Kherson has approved a financial plan for 2026 for the Kherson Vodokanal utility company with revenues and investments in the modernization of water supply and sewerage networks. The company is preparing to upgrade equipment and improve the efficiency of water supply and sewage for the city and budgetary institutions.
This is evidenced by an order issued by Yaroslav Shanko, head of the Kherson City Military Administration .
According to forecasts, the company 's total revenues without VAT in 2026 will amount to more than UAH 167 million, almost twice as much as in 2024, when revenues amounted to about UAH 91 million. The bulk of revenues is generated by the provision of water supply and sewerage services.
Revenues by type of service:
- Centralized water supply: UAH 96.3 million (80.8 million from households, 7.2 million from budgetary institutions, and 8.4 million from other consumers);
- Centralized wastewater disposal: UAH 69.6 million (48.8 million from population, 8.3 million from budgetary institutions, 12.6 million from other consumers);
- Other services: UAH 1.5 million (including connection to networks, repairs, technical testing and maintenance of meters).
The financial plan also provides for the company's operating expenses in detail. Total operating expenses for 2026 are planned at UAH 441 million, including
- material costs - UAH 163.6 million
- labor costs - UAH 164.9 million
- social contributions - UAH 36.3 million;
- depreciation and amortization - UAH 36.4 million;
- other operating expenses - UAH 39.8 million.
The investment part is separately allocated, with more than UAH 36 million planned for it. It provides for the modernization and reconstruction of fixed assets, the purchase of equipment and materials, which will allow the city's water supply and sewerage infrastructure to be updated.
In July, Kherson Vodokanal received financial support worth over UAH 198 million. The funds will be used to pay salaries to employees, pay for electricity, purchase fuel and materials, as well as to carry out major repairs and meet other basic needs of the company.
In 2025, Khersonvodokanal used budget funds for various needs, from electricity and network repairs to the purchase of equipment and materials. The company spent more than UAH 152 million on the most expensive purchases, with the largest amounts spent on electricity, its distribution, water pipeline repairs, and diesel fuel.
