In Mykolaiv, an audit of the Institute of Postgraduate Education is planned due to the dismissal of the director

The director of the Mykolaiv Regional Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education, Vasyl Shulyar, submitted his resignation. The regional council commission recommended approving his dismissal and initiated an audit of the institute.
The relevant decision was made at a meeting of the Standing Committee on Education of the Mykolaiv Regional Council.
The Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration received a letter of resignation from Vasyl Ivanovych Shulyar, director of the Mykolaiv Regional Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education. This implies early termination of the contract, as well as consideration of this issue at a regular session with the approval of the standing committees.
The commission proposed to conduct an unscheduled state audit of the institute in accordance with the law. According to the commission, Vasyl Shulyar, Honored Teacher of Ukraine, Professor and Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, has been in charge of the institute for almost ten years.
The chairman of the commission, Yevhen Horburov, said that when the director of the institute was appointed to this position, he also conducted an audit of the financial and economic activities of the institution. The official confirmed that he did not object to the audit.
The Commission, having taken into account the appeal of the Department of Education of Mykolaiv Regional State Administration and the official's resignation, recommended to approve the official's dismissal. And also to take measures to conduct a state financial audit of the Mykolaiv Regional Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education. In addition, the results of the audit should be reported to the Mykolaiv Regional Council.
Vasyl Shulyar added that he and his family are changing their place of residence and will be leaving Mykolaiv region tomorrow. He emphasized that he had accumulated 149 days of vacation during the war, which he now wants to use, and thanked the teachers for their long-term cooperation.
At the previous session, the deputies considered a number of issues, including amendments to the charter of the Mykolaiv Regional Museum of Local Lore and the appointment of heads of certain cultural and sports institutions. One of the key decisions concerned the update of the Mykolaiv Oblast Development Strategy until 2027 - communities were recommended to bring their strategic documents in line.
