Extraordinary Executive Committee convened in Odesa to provide funds for housing for orphans

An extraordinary meeting of the executive committee of the city council has been scheduled in Odesa. The meeting is dedicated to the allocation of housing for orphans, children deprived of parental care, and large families.
This was reported by the press service of the Odesa City Council.
The meeting is scheduled for December 11, 2025 at 14:30.
Among the key issues on the agenda are decisions related to the Service for Children. Head of the Service Tetiana Prodanchuk will report on:
- Approval of the proposals of the city commission to allocate a subvention from the state budget for housing for family-type orphanages, orphans and children deprived of parental care;
- submission to the City Council of a draft decision on the purchase of communal housing for orphans, children deprived of parental care, large families, and support for the development of family-based care in the city for 2023-2028.
According to the press service, the meeting is intended to accelerate the implementation of city programs aimed at providing housing and supporting children and families in need of special attention.
The executive committee of Odesa City Council also urgently convened for an extraordinary meeting on December 9. The agenda included the approval of the 2026 budget and its submission to the City Council, as well as amendments to the 2025 budget.
In addition, the Department of Municipal Security was instructed to decide which property of the liquidated Municipal Guard should be transferred to the volunteer formation of the city's territorial community; it is currently on the balance sheet of the department.
At its last meeting on November 27, Odesa's executive committee considered several issues related to city development and city programs, including changes to programs, compensation for property destroyed due to Russian aggression, and renewal of the composition of the Odesa Investment Council.
