The civic initiative "Land plot of an apartment building" tried to organize members of the Odesa City Council to legally resolve the issue of landscaping the territories where apartment buildings are located and concluded that only 26 out of 56 members of the City Council had indicated their data on the official portal.

The activists noted that the information regarding the reception offices and contacts of three deputies is incorrect, and some of the other 30 deputies do not have reception offices.

Most of the MPs are limited to traditional forms of communication and did not agree to the proposed online meeting.

According to the activists, the meetings they held with the MPs, as well as private conversations and online correspondence with the MPs, show that many of them

  • use old stereotypes and lack information about changes in the current legislation of Ukraine, in particular on the issue of MFBs;
  • as a rule, are guided by the recommendations of specialized deputy commissions and do not consult with experts in relevant fields and lawyers;
  • adopt draft decisions prepared by the executive structures of the local authorities without additional independent analysis.

The activists emphasized that only eight out of 56 Odesa deputies agreed to hold online meetings after July 7, and four deputies expressed their intention to read the materials in more detail after July 7 and resolve the issue of the online meeting.

In May, Intent launched a series of reports analyzing the transparency of local council websites and found that the Odesa Regional Council website does not provide voters with a single source of information on the exact number of deputies. According to the website, as of May 28, the number of deputies on different pages is not the same:
