Vivat Publishing House published the book "Free Voices of Crimea. Stories of Crimean Journalists - Prisoners of the Kremlin", co-authored by Odesa journalist, editor of Intent Yevhenia Henova.

According to the journalist, the book was published at the initiative of PEN Ukraine, ZMINA. Center for Human Rights and The Ukrainians Media. It includes stories of civilian journalists who opposed the occupiers and became political prisoners. The book contains documentary evidence of the activities of activists: letters, excerpts from diaries, speeches from courts in cases of their imprisonment. And, of course, the publication records the crimes of the Russian authorities.

"I am glad to join the work on the book, I am grateful to everyone who has put a lot of effort into its publication and, of course, to those who are its heroes and heroines - them and their families and friends. Despite everything, I believe that the truth will prevail and that justice and freedom are worth fighting for," added Yevhenia Genova.

Vitaliy Portnikov , a publicist and writer, noted that for Ukraine to remain free, for Crimea to be free, the heroes of this book pay with their freedom, health, and years of life they have not lived.

"That is why their word has a special weight - the weight of an act," he said.

The book was published at the initiative of PEN Ukraine, ZMINA. Center for Human Rights and The Ukrainians Media.

Yevhenia Genova is also the author of the book Crimean Tatar Families, in which the media personality collected stories of 14 families. According to the journalist, one of the working titles of the book was Qırımda yaşa - "Live in Crimea". Fevzi Mamutov, a deputy of the Odesa Regional Council, public activist, volunteer, and head of the NGO "Crimean Tatars of Odesa Region", helped Yevheniia Genova learn about the lives, moods, thoughts of the characters, and the plans and works of the authors.
