The nasal mucosa traps dust, allergens, and infectious agents, so keeping it clean and moist is important for normal nasal breathing. In cases of swelling, thick discharge, or excessive dryness, topical treatments can be used, selected based on the cause of the symptoms and your doctor’s recommendations.
Why is Lisobakt Rino® more than just a regular nasal rinse?
Lisobakt Rino® spray combines a 1.85% hypertonic saline solution with lysozyme. This formulation can simultaneously help cleanse the nasal cavity, reduce swelling, and maintain the physiological state of the mucous membrane.
The components work in several ways:
- the hypertonic solution draws excess fluid from swollen tissues through osmosis;
- the saline base thins thick secretions and facilitates their removal;
- the spray helps clear the nose of mucus, crusts, dust, dirt, and allergens;
- lysozyme exerts a local anti-inflammatory effect and is active against bacteria, viruses, and fungi;
- moisturization helps maintain the nasal mucosa in environments with dry air.
The spray helps the nose naturally clear itself of mucus and dust. It works only in the nasal cavity and does not affect the entire body. The product is not habit-forming, and after you stop using it, congestion does not return with renewed intensity. However, how well it works depends on the cause of the congestion and your body’s individual characteristics.
When is it appropriate to use a nasal spray?
Lisobakt Rino® can be used by adults and children aged 1 year and older after consulting a doctor. It can be used on its own or in combination with decongestants, topical corticosteroids, or antihistamines, if such a regimen is recommended by a specialist.
The product may be appropriate in the following situations:
- nasal congestion associated with acute respiratory illnesses;
- infectious rhinosinusitis or allergic rhinitis;
- thick secretions, crusts, or dryness of the mucous membranes;
- exposure to dusty environments or air-conditioned rooms;
- contraindications to conventional decongestants;
- the need to shorten the duration of decongestant use;
- daily nasal hygiene.
Use of the spray may be considered when decongestants are contraindicated due to high blood pressure, heart disease, thyroid disorders, or diabetes. The appropriateness of this choice should be discussed with a doctor beforehand.
For children aged 1 to 5 years, administer one spray into each nostril 2–3 times a day, always under adult supervision. For adults and children aged 5 years and older, 1–2 sprays 2–3 times a day are recommended. Before use, clear the nasal passages; during application, inhale slowly through the nose and exhale through the mouth. Each bottle is intended for use by a single person.
Do not use this product if you are allergic to any of its ingredients or to egg white. A brief tingling sensation or irritation may occur when first using the product. Consult a doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. If an allergic reaction occurs, discontinue use. If there is no improvement within 14 days, consult a doctor.
