On January 24, 2025, quarantine restrictions due to rabies in the village of Davydiv Brid, Velyko Oleksandrivska community, Beryslav district, were lifted. This decision was made at a meeting of the State Emergency Anti-Epizootic Commission at the district state administration.

This was reported by Volodymyr Litvinov, head of the Beryslav District Administration.

The quarantine was introduced earlier due to rabies cases among animals. The epidemiological situation has been stabilized thanks to the implementation of the action plan to eliminate the disease and prevent its spread.

Despite the lifting of restrictions, the district continues to vaccinate animals that have not yet been vaccinated. The measures are being taken to ensure the safety of residents and prevent new cases of the disease.

The epizootic situation in Beryslav district remains under constant control of the special commission.

Recently, hunters of "Hunters of Arbuzynshchyna" LLC found a wild pig corpse in the forest, located 3 km from the village of Lyuboivanivka, Blahodatnenska community of Pervomaisky district. A laboratory test conducted on January 13 by the Mykolaiv Regional State Laboratory of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection confirmed the diagnosis of African swine fever (ASF).

This is the second case of ASF in the Mykolaiv region in January. Earlier, on January 10, 2025, the death of one pig was recorded in a private household in the village of Ulyanivka, Bashtanka district. Laboratory tests confirmed the same diagnosis.

Earlier, Intent wrote that 35 heads of corpses of piglets aged 1-2 months were found on the side of the Kropyvnytske-Platonove road, 1.3 km from the village of Mykolaivske, Mykolaiv region. In the study of selected samples of biological material in the laboratory of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, a diagnosis of African swine fever (ASF) was made.
