Mykolaiv Executive Committee supported the program of medical development

Mykolaiv Executive Committee has approved the healthcare development program for 2026-2028.
This became known during a meeting of the executive committee on Wednesday, October 8.
The report was made by Iryna Shamrai, Head of the City Council's Healthcare Department. She said that the program was developed by a comprehensive working group consisting of heads of medical institutions, deputy mayors and city experts.
The official emphasized that the program is comprehensive and has been developed taking into account all the needs of the population for the next three years. Shamrai emphasized that even the proposed reorganization of medical institutions (formation of a "capable network") would not affect the implementation of the program itself.
In addition, the head of the department emphasized that the project received approval without any comments from key city departments (economic, legal, financial) and was approved by an expert group of the UNICEF regional office.
Earlier, an increase in the number of patients with influenza and COVID-19 was recorded in Mykolaiv region. During the week, 4131 new cases were registered, of which 531 were coronavirus cases. This trend has been observed over the past three weeks.
The largest increase was observed among children: the incidence among them increased by 2.3 times (2599 cases), while among adults - by 9.4% (1532 cases).
At the same time, the number of COVID-19 cases in Mykolaiv city decreased slightly - 229 cases compared to 257 a week earlier. Overall, the incidence rate in the region is still 21.6% below the epidemic threshold. Last week, 159 people were hospitalized with influenza and ARVI, 80 of them with COVID-19. One person was admitted to intensive care. No deaths from these diseases were recorded in the region.
