On August 15, one of Kherson's hospitals received a mobile outpatient clinic.
According to Roman Mrochko, head of the Kherson MBA, the much-needed replenishment of the medical arsenal of our city took place as part of a project that has been implemented for a year and a half under the auspices and with funding from Rotary International. The project is aimed at overcoming the consequences of armed aggression, in particular, providing medical services to the population in communities where the medical infrastructure has been severely damaged or destroyed.
The official's post says that the cost of such a mobile clinic is up to $50,000. The clinic is based on a car trailer, so it is very mobile. It can be easily moved with a crossover, a bus, or a more powerful car. The outpatient clinic can work both autonomously (on a generator) and by connecting to a permanent power source. The mobile clinic has both specialized equipment (ventilator, dental unit, defibrillator) and diagnostic equipment: blood pressure monitor, portable ultrasound, cardiograph, set of ophthalmic lenses, etc. If necessary, it can be retrofitted.
It is noted that healthcare facilities in the Kherson community are under constant enemy fire. The occupiers are focused on keeping the level of medical services to the population as low as possible. But thanks to reliable partners, including members of the Rotary Club, Kherson doctors can treat, operate, and conduct preventive examinations even in the most remote settlements of the community.
Mrochko added that the community is expecting another mobile outpatient clinic from Rotarians from Norway in the near future.
Earlier it was reported that ten graduates of Ukrainian medical universities will undergo an internship in Kherson.
