Since mid-August, Mykolaiv has been recording massive cases of coronavirus. Two people have already died from the infectious disease.
According to the Health Department, as of today, 1040 cases of infection have been registered, of which 128 people required hospitalization, which is slightly more than 10% of the total number of patients.
Doctors report two fatalities. These are two women who lived in boarding schools. Both women were not vaccinated because they refused, which, along with their old age and concomitant diseases, led to fatal consequences. Doctors say that vaccination could have saved their lives.
Due to the rising incidence, experts urge people to get vaccinated. According to them, vaccination is the most effective means of protection against complications and severe cases of COVID-19. Vaccination is available at every healthcare facility in the city, and anyone who has had more than six months since their last vaccination can get a second shot. To do this, you need to contact your family doctor, who will issue the necessary documents and refer you for vaccination.
There are also mobile teams that vaccinate teams at enterprises and institutions.
The Department emphasizes that vaccination is free of charge and is provided by centralized supplies from the state budget through the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
Doctors in Odesa region also reported that the coronavirus is "rearing its head" again. In August, 505 cases were recorded in the region, which is 26 more than the year before. The increase was recorded both among children - by 27% (80 vs. 63) and among adults - by 2.2% (425 vs. 416). The region also received 1740 doses of COVID-19 vaccine.
The Ministry of Health has also reported an increase in the incidence of COVID-19 over the past month. However, so far, they see no reason to introduce restrictive anti-epidemic measures.
In July, a total of more than 8,000 cases of COVID-19 were registered in Ukraine, and in June - more than 2,000 cases.
The Ministry of Health of Ukraine does not provide instructions or a recipe for quick recovery from coronavirus. This is especially true given the different course of the disease and the individual characteristics of each patient.
Among the tips given by the professional community to patients who have suffered from COVID-19 are sleeping patterns and a balanced diet, moderate physical activity, exercises to train the brain and cognitive abilities, and walks in the fresh air.
