Bronchoscopic examination is included in the state program of medical guarantees and is carried out free of charge upon referral from a family doctor or attending physician.
According to the Odesa City Council, thanks to timely examinations, last year doctors detected 45 suspected oncological pathologies in patients. In general, after the age of 50, bronchoscopy is recommended to be performed routinely, even in the absence of complaints.
Bronchoscopy is an examination of the trachea and bronchi using an endoscope, which, among other things, helps to detect respiratory tumors at early stages.
Bronchoscopy is included in the state program of medical guarantees and is performed free of charge upon referral by a family doctor or attending physician, including for patients undergoing inpatient treatment.
Bronchoscopy can be performed free of charge by appointment at the following locations:
- Consultative and Diagnostic Center No. 6 - 26a Dobrovoltsiv (M. Govorova) St.
- Municipal Clinical Hospital No. 1 - 32 Myasoidivska St.
- Municipal Clinical Hospital No. 10 - 61 O. Vadaturskoho (M. Malynovskoho) str.
- Municipal Clinical Hospital No. 11 - 5 V. Nesterenko (Ak. Vorobyova) St.
Children undergo bronchoscopy at the Children's City Clinical Hospital No. 3, 26a Akademika Zabolotnoho Street.
In 2023, 1,469 patients with epilepsy received medicines under the Affordable Medicines program in Odesa Oblast. According to the National Health Service of Ukraine, in Odesa region, epilepsy medications under the Affordable Medicines program can be obtained in 708 pharmacies and pharmacy outlets.
Also, two medical institutions in Mykolaiv Oblast - Voznesensk and Snihuriv Primary Health Care Centers - have started using new methods to diagnose diseases and improve access to palliative care. This became possible thanks to a grant from the USAID Health Care Reform Support Project, the National Health Service of Ukraine (NHSU) reported.
