Despite the martial law in Ukraine, there are signs that political forces are preparing for elections, which, according to the head of the Odesa regional organization of the Committee of Voters of Ukraine, Anatoliy Boyko, are 99% likely to take place next year.
So, the live edition of the Live . Insight on Tuesday, December 24, we decided to dedicate it to the political events of the outgoing year and political forecasts for the next year.
What will we remember in 2024? What changes have we seen in the political landscape of Odesa, the region and Ukraine? Who is fighting and who is preparing for the elections? These and other questions will be answered by Anatoliy Boyko, the head of the Odesa CVU. The guest will also answer questions from the audience. The show will be traditionally hosted by Valeriy Bolgan, editor-in-chief of Intent.
Every week, Intent looks at one issue that worries Ukrainians and raises topical questions and tries to solve specific problems.
The previous episode was devoted to the problems of beaches, how they work during the war, and why the city authorities neglect the opportunity to earn money for the budget by not establishing transparent rules for doing business on the coast. The guest of the studio was the founder of the Inclusive Beach in Odesa, Yuriy Degas.
The show was preceded by a TV show dedicated to the problem of garbage and a film by the Center for Public Investigations, "No Smell of Own: How Odesa Authorities Ignore the Problem with Garbage," in which journalists found out how the situation with garbage disposal in Odesa is currently going, and the condition of the Dalnytsky Quarries landfill where garbage from Odesa is taken.
On December 3, the live broadcast was devoted to the rise in the cost of public transportation in the city. Valeriy Bolgan , editor-in-chief of Intent, discussed this issue on Intent.Insight with Dmytro Zheman, former head of Odesmiskelektrotrans and former deputy mayor.
The previous show on Tuesday, November 26, was devoted to the problem of employment of veterans, which is already a pressing issue for Ukraine and will become much more acute after the end of active hostilities.
On November 19, the program was devoted to the situation with energy supply in Odesa region after the Russian attack. Vitaliy Savich, Energy Manager, was the guest of the studio and explained why Odesa region is so vulnerable, what communication should have been on the part of DTEK and the city authorities, and how everyone's energy consumption affects the situation.
