A national-patriotic education project that combines theory and practice and involves schoolchildren and students in comprehensive security and history classes has been launched in Odesa educational institutions.
This was reported by Intent correspondent Natalia Dovbysh.
According to Serhiy Tsyhotskyi, head of the Communications Department of the Operational Command "South", the program covers all educational institutions of the city and provides for ongoing implementation to ensure the systematic formation of patriotism among young people.
"We want children to know the truth about our country and be able to counteract the enemy, who is actively working with young people in the temporarily occupied territories," he emphasized.
The project is divided into several blocks: military history and symbols, tactical medicine, mine safety, familiarization with weapons and military equipment.

Practical classes will be conducted by instructors with combat experience who will show how to use the equipment properly, provide first aid and act safely in the face of combat threats.
Lieutenant Colonel Dmytro Savchenko, head of the moral support department of the "South" military command, added that the program will last several days in each educational institution and will include lectures, trainings and practical exercises.

The organizers noted that the goal of the event is to form a conscious citizen who knows the history, culture and language of Ukraine well and is able to act in critical situations.
The project is being implemented not only in Odesa, but is also planned to be extended to Mykolaiv and Vinnytsia regions. The organizers emphasize that youth participation in such programs helps to develop responsible citizenship, strengthens patriotic consciousness, and prepares them to defend the country if necessary.
Recently, the socio-political publication Intent launched a series of videos dedicated to the figures of the South. The first story in the series tells the story of the combat path of the Southern Operational Command, which recently celebrated its 11th anniversary. The first episode is already available on the media channel.
