In Mykolaiv, the search has begun for a caterer for schoolchildren at a cost of 135 million

The city of Mykolaiv has begun the search for a contractor to provide school meals for students in the city’s schools starting September 1. The tender is valued at 135.5 million hryvnias.
This is according to data from the Prozorro system.
The contracting authority is the Education Department of the Mykolaiv City Council.
The tender covers meals for students in the city’s public schools. The winner will be determined solely on the basis of price, which accounts for 100% of the evaluation criteria.
Funds for the procurement have been allocated from the local budget and state subsidies. Specifically, over 78.6 million hryvnias are to be allocated for student meals through a subsidy from the state budget.
An additional 45.1 million hryvnias have been allocated from the local budget. Over 10.1 million hryvnias will be used to improve the quality of hot meals and meals for elementary school students.
Separately, the procurement plan includes funds for meals for students at special education institutions.
In total, the Mykolaiv region received 187.5 million hryvnias in state subsidies to organize free hot meals for students in general secondary education institutions,according to Georgiy Reshetilov, acting head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration.
Starting September 1, students in grades 1–11 at public schools in the Mykolaiv region who are attending in person are to receive free hot meals. The costs will be covered by the state subsidy.
At a session of the Mykolaiv City Council, officials reported that the total funding requirement for school meals exceeds 250 million hryvnias; currently, the budget allocates 122 million 474 thousand hryvnias, with an additional 127 million 711 thousand hryvnias needed.
