The Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergency Situations of the Odesa Regional State Administration has set October 18 and 19 as days off for schools and kindergartens in Odesa.
This was announced by the head of the Regional State Administration Oleg Kiper.
According to him, schools need to take measures to work on the program material. It is necessary to provide for the possibility of working on duty groups and classes in preschool and general secondary education institutions.
Also, the region should ensure uninterrupted power supply at critical infrastructure facilities, and district state administrations, village, town and city councils should ensure the opening and operation of invincibility points.
Police officers were also ordered to ensure traffic control at intersections in Odesa, and the Odesa City Council was instructed to ensure that city pump rooms were open for business.
The Department of Digital Development, Information Policy and Tourism of the Odesa Regional State Administration and telecommunications operators were ordered to ensure the operation of information and communication networks using generators and other autonomous power supply systems.
Earlier, the head of the Odesa regional administration, Oleh Kiper, said that two people were killed and a 17-year-old boy was wounded in the Russian attack. The victims were employees of Ukrenergo, 41-year-old Dmytro Kaminnyi and 44-year-old Maksym Shargorodskyi.
Odesa residents heard explosions in the morning, after which the city lost power, and later, in part of the city, water supply. The Odesa City Heating Company explained that the lack of heat was due to a water supply outage, and as soon as it was restored, heat supply could be resumed.
