In November, specialists of the Bashtanka District Administration, together with representatives of the Bashtanka RGA, local governments and the State Emergency Service, conducted a survey to determine the readiness of institutions to organize offline learning and ensure the safety of participants in the educational process in 11 educational institutions located in the territories of two communities in the Bashtanka district.

This was reported by the official website of Bashtanka.

Particular attention was paid to the availability of water supply and sewage, ventilation, heating, lighting, and medical care facilities, the report says.

All the institutions inspected in November were not inspected for the first time this year. During previous inspections, the Main Directorate of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection held meetings and roundtables with a focus on ways to solve problems, education departments and heads of institutions were given proposals on the identified violations, which were gradually eliminated, both those that did not require effort and those that required considerable investment.

100% of the shelters designed for 50 and more people have forced ventilation, and in 2 facilities, proper conditions have been created in the sanitary facilities: running water is available, sewage system is working effectively, floors and walls are decorated with tiles that are accessible for wet cleaning and disinfection, and conditions for washing hands with warm water have been created. Education departments and heads of institutions responded to the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection's comments on the need to carry out work to prevent injuries to children, namely: they repaired the hard surface leading to shelters, properly equipped stairs, and provided alternative lighting.

In some secondary education institutions, conditions have been created to ensure continuous education of children while they are in the institution: classrooms have been equipped in the shelters with comfortable school furniture and sufficient artificial lighting for children's workplaces.

In accordance with the requirements and in pursuance of the proposals of the Main Directorate of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, children in the shelters are provided with proper conditions for recreation: upholstered furniture for sitting and lying down, warm blankets, and Internet access.

During the inspections, active outreach was conducted to ensure compliance with the hygiene requirements set out in the sanitary regulations for preschool and general education institutions.
