Since the beginning of the 2025-2026 marketing year, Ukraine has exported more than 15.3 million tons of grains and legumes.

This was reported by the relevant agency with reference to the data of the State Customs Service.

In particular, since the beginning of 2025-2026 MY Ukraine exported 7.8 mln tonnes of wheat (last year - 9.7 mln tonnes), 1.3 mln tonnes of barley (last year - 2 mln tonnes), and 5.9 mln tonnes of corn (last year - 9.5 mln tonnes). Also, 0.2 thousand tons of rye were exported, while last year this figure was 10.8 thousand tons.

In addition, Ukraine exported 34.3 thousand tons of flour (compared to 37.2 thousand tons in the same period last MY).

The Ukrainian sea corridor is functioning and remains a key export route despite regular Russian attacks on the ports of Odesa region, which currently remain the only route for sea transportation.

In total, in 2025, Odesa region ports transported 147 million tons of cargo to 50 countries. Currently, the reconstruction of berths and preparation of terminal concessions are underway to increase cargo transshipment.

On the evening of December 22, Russians attacked Odesa again with attack drones, damaging port infrastructure and a civilian vessel. It turned out to be the arrested ship Anka, which is located in the port of Reni

In July 2024, the military announced that the capacity of the Ukrainian sea corridor had been expanded over the past six months.

After Russia withdrew from the grain deal, the ports of Greater Odesa were blockaded, which posed a serious threat to global food security, as Ukraine is one of the world's main grain suppliers.

Accordingly, with the help of the UN and Turkey, Ukraine organized a humanitarian corridor that allowed it to resume grain exports and provide access to more than 40 countries.

Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale aggression, more than 500 port infrastructure facilities and 116 civilian vessels have been damaged or destroyed, and 157 civilians have been injured. On the territory of the Odesa seaport, 161 facilities have been damaged.
