The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved the procedure for the use of funds provided for in the state budget for the development of the network and maintenance of public roads in 2026.
In particular, it concerns the repair and maintenance of checkpoints across the state border for road traffic and the amount of budget funds to finance them from the state budget funds provided for the development of the public road network and maintenance in 2026.
In Odesa region, there are eight checkpoints:
- "Reni - Giurgiulesti - 8 million 693 thousand.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has also allocated an additional UAH 3 billion from the state budget reserve fund for the repair of national roads, including the Kyiv-Odesa highway.
Thus, it is planned to repair 10,521.4 square meters of the Kyiv-Odesa highway. It is also planned to repair the Odesa-Melitopol highway (1,510 square meters) and the Odesa-Yuzhne highway (M-14) (3.7 thousand square meters).
The funds are primarily allocated to roads of international and national importance - key logistics routes, high-traffic routes, and roads that play an important role in evacuating and supplying the frontline regions.
The next stage is the transition to large-scale map repairs, which will ensure a more durable road surface. In February, drivers traveling on the Odesa-Kyiv highway after the snow melted began posting numerous videos and reports of the poor road conditions.
