Starting April 1, bus fares in two communities in Mykolaiv Oblast - Pivdenoukrainsk and Nova Odesa - will change. The rise in price is explained by the increase in carriers' costs, primarily due to higher fuel prices.
Information about the new tariffs was published on the official resources of the communities, as reported by MikVisti.
Pivdenoukrainsk: new prices on routes
On March 18, the website of the Pivdenoukrainsk City Council announced the revision of tariffs on city and suburban routes. From now on, the fare will be:
- "Yuzhnoukrainsk - MPZ - railway station 14 - NPP" - 40 UAH
- "Pivdenoukrainsk - Konstantinovka - 40 UAH
- "Pivdenoukrainsk - Buzke - 50 UAH.
On March 27, the list was supplemented with new fares for certain destinations:
- to the village of Pankratovo - 20 UAH
- to the village of Ivanivka - 50 UAH
The city council explains that the increase is due to the rising cost of fuel and lubricants, spare parts, and tires, as well as higher wages and general transportation costs.
Nova Odesa: decision of the executive committee
In Nova Odesa, the executive committee of the city council decided on March 25 to raise the tariff for city transportation to UAH 20.
The report states that the sharp increase in the ticket price is due to an increase in transportation costs, primarily due to rising fuel prices. Officials also refer to the legislation, according to which the tariff policy should ensure stable operation of carriers and development of the transportation industry.
It is also emphasized that if the tariff is artificially kept at UAH 15, the carrier Avtomobilist ALC may cease operations.
At the same time, the executive committee said that if the cost of fuel decreases, the tariff may be revised downward.
The cityauthorities ordered the carriers to
- ensure proper quality of transportation
- guarantee preferential fares
- adhere to schedules and routes
It should be noted that full decisions on tariff changes have not yet been published on the official websites of both city councils.
As Intent previously reported, Mykolaiv has introduced new tariffs for public transportation. Preferential tariffs for students and schoolchildren will also be introduced. In particular, during the period of martial law, transportation will be free for schoolchildren.
