Thousands of companies moved from Odesa region

Odesa region is among the regions of Ukraine with the highest number of business relocations.
This is evidenced by the analytics of the Opendatabot service, based on data from the Unified State Register.
In total, 12,197 companies changed their legal addresses in 2025, which is 11% more than a year earlier. At the same time, the number of moves amounted to 12,920, as some companies changed their place of registration more than once.
Odesa region was among the regions where businesses changed their addresses most often. There were 2,884 relocations of companies from this region, which is about 7% of all business moves in Ukraine.
At the same time, Odesa region is also among the regions where businesses are moving. According to analysts, about 2,880 companies chose Odesa region as a new place of registration, which is about 6.9% of all relocations.
In 2025, the largest number of companies left Kyiv - 4,000. At the same time, the capital remains one of the main centers for business relocation: about 3,200 companies registered a new address there.
In general, the number of companies increased in eight regions of Ukraine after relocation, while 19 regions saw a decrease in the number of registered companies.
By industry, companies in the wholesale trade sector relocate most often - 3,798 businesses. Companies are also actively changing their place of registration in the following sectors
- construction - 732 companies
- real estate operations - 645
- agriculture - 639
- retail trade - 526
Analysts note that business relocation is associated with the adaptation of enterprises to war conditions, the search for safer working conditions, new logistics routes and economic opportunities in different regions.
Earlier, Intent wrote that Ukraine has a program to relocate businesses in the war zone, which was approved by the government in the spring of 2022.
According to the Opendatabot platform, in the year and a half since the beginning of the great war, as of the end of September 2023, 840 enterprises have moved to safer regions under the relocation program.
