There are a total of 601 jewelry businesses operating in the Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions. The Odesa region has the most—415—while 102 such businesses are registered in the Kherson region and 84 in the Mykolaiv region.
These figures were released by OpenDataBot following an analysis of the geographic distribution of the jewelry industry in Ukraine as of the end of July 2026.
In total, there are currently 7,865 jewelry businesses operating in Ukraine—including manufacturers, jewelry retailers, and repair specialists for jewelry and watches. Thus, the three southern regions account for about 7.6% of all jewelry businesses in the country.
At the same time, the Odesa region is the undisputed leader in the south. Its 415 jewelry businesses account for nearly 69% of the total number in the Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions combined.
Odesa Region—Among Ukraine’s Leaders
In terms of the number of jewelry businesses, the Odesa region ranks seventh in Ukraine.
Only Kyiv (1,365), Zaporizhzhia Oblast (679), Kyiv Oblast (585), Kharkiv Oblast (548), Dnipropetrovsk Oblast (484), and Lviv Oblast (436) have more such entrepreneurs and companies.
Odesa Oblast is ahead of, in particular, Donetsk Oblast, which has 403 jewelry businesses.
In the Mykolaiv region, there are nearly five times fewer than in the Odesa region—84— and in theKherson region— 102.
84% of jewelry businesses in Ukraine are sole proprietorships
The vast majority of jewelry businesses in Ukraine operate as sole proprietorships.
Of the 7,865 jewelry businesses, 6,583 are sole proprietorships, or about 84%. Another 1,282 are registered as legal entities.
At the same time, the situation remains less stable among sole proprietors. In 2021–2022, there were 498 more business closures than new registrations.
In 2023, the market began to grow again, and in 2024, a record increase was recorded—the number of new sole proprietorships exceeded the number of closures by 611.
However, in 2025, the trend shifted again: there were 169 more closures than new registrations.
Jewelry companies, on the other hand, are showing more stable growth. Their numbers have increased every year, even after the start of the full-scale war. Last year, 54 more jewelry companies were registered in Ukraine than ceased operations.
The largest jewelry companies generate over one billion hryvnias
It is currently impossible to assess the financial performance of the entire jewelry market, as only 358 out of 1,282 companies submitted financial reports for 2025.
Among them, “Zlata Estate” generated the highest revenue—1.26 billion hryvnias. Second place went to “Resurs+” with revenue of 1.02 billion hryvnias, and third place to “Weiss King” with 955.4 million hryvnias.
The top five also included “Amadeo,” the official distributor of Pandora in Ukraine, with 830.4 million UAH, and “Opti Gold” with 620.4 million UAH.
The combined revenue of the five largest jewelry companies exceeded 4.68 billion UAH in 2025.
There are foreign owners in the jewelry business
OpenDataBot also identified 180 active companies whose beneficiaries include citizens of other countries.
The most common foreign owners are citizens of Israel (22 companies), Turkey (20), and Russia (19). Beneficiaries also include citizens of Georgia, the United States, Uzbekistan, and other countries.
At the same time, among the 19 active companies with Russian beneficiaries, only one reported revenue over the past two years—the Bila Tserkva Jewelry Factory, with revenue of 10,900 UAH for 2023.
Overall, the statistics show that the Ukrainian jewelry market remains predominantly composed of small businesses.
