Residents of Mykolaiv owe 261 million hryvnias for heating

Customers of the municipal utility “Mykolaivoblteploenergo” owe 261.1 million hryvnias for heat supply services. Of this amount, approximately 29.3 million hryvnias are charges for July.
This was reported by the Mykolaiv City Council.
The company offers the option to enter into a debt restructuring agreement. Funds are also collected through court-ordered enforcement. In July, there were 375 such court rulings totaling over 5.77 million hryvnias. The State Enforcement Service collected over 2.5 million hryvnias this month.
Since the beginning of 2026, 1,278 court rulings have been issued totaling over 19.23 million hryvnias. The State Enforcement Service has collected over 15.7 million hryvnias.
Previously,the Mykolaiv region ranked among the top three regions for utility debt. Over the past six months, 12,841 enforcement proceedings were initiatedhere , accounting for about 12% of all new cases in Ukraine. Only the Kharkiv region recorded more new debtors—22,171 cases—and the Dnipropetrovsk region—19,636.
Earlier, the Mykolaiv municipal utility“Mykolaivvodokanal” announced a tender to procure the services of a debt collection agency to handle debtors for water supply and wastewater services. The estimated cost of the procurement is 1.24 million hryvnias.
Previously, the Mykolaiv Maternity Hospital had accumulated millions in debts for unpaid wages and medical supplies. The final mechanism for repaying these debts is still under discussion.
