The city of Mykolaiv has raised public transportation fares - the new rates will take effect in late April and early May.

The decision was made by the executive committee of Mykolaiv City Council on April 22.

  • Starting from April 27, the new fares will apply to minibuses and buses;
  • From May 4 - in electric transport (trams and trolleybuses).

New tariffs for minibuses

  • up to 10 km - UAH 18
  • over 10 km - UAH 20

Fares to remote neighborhoods:

  • Varvarovka - 20 UAH
  • Matveevka - 25 UAH
  • Velyka Korenyha - 25 UAH
  • Mala Korenyha - 30 UAH

Municipal buses

In Mykolaivpastrans transport, the fare will be UAH 20 per trip.

Electric transport (from May 4)

  • one-time ticket - 15 UAH
  • via QR code - 12 UAH
  • student ticket - 8 UAH

Travel tickets:

  • 1 day - 40 UAH
  • 2 days - 75 UAH
  • week - 150 UAH (separately) / 225 UAH (together)
  • 15 days - 285 UAH (separately) / 430 UAH (together)
  • month - 540 UAH (separately) / 810 UAH (together)

For students:

  • monthly travel card - 270 UAH (separately) / 405 UAH (together)

Benefits and fines

  • Students in grades 1-12 will pay 50% of the cost (with a student card, from September 1 to June 1)
  • The fine for fare evasion is 300 UAH

The city council explained the increase in fares by the rising cost of fuel, spare parts, and materials, as well as the increase in the minimum wage.

It should be noted that currently the fare for public electric transportation is UAH 10 for a paper ticket and UAH 8 for a QR code.

As Intent previously wrote, a new trolleybus route No. 14 "Mykolaiv-Vantazhnyi - Kazarskoho Street" will soon appear in Mykolaiv.

In addition, Mykolaiv will receive 40 tramcars from the Swedish city of Gothenburg. These are M29 trams, which were previously used in the Swedish urban transportation system.

As a reminder, in December 2025, tram service was resumed in Mykolaiv on the route No. 3 ChSZ - 10th Military. Electric vehicles are running again according to their usual schedule.
