The Executive Committee of the Izmail City Council has decided to approve the City Target Program "Health of Izmail for 2026".
The total amount of funding for the program is UAH 67 million 770 thousand, which is fully provided for by the city budget, Intent's correspondent reports.
The annual program was developed by the Izmail City Central Hospital.
The priorities are to modernize infrastructure and equipment.
A number of important medical projects are planned to be implemented during the year. In particular:

- purchase of modern medical equipment and supplies for the hospital.
- Separately, work continues on the reconstruction of inpatient departments at 68 Nezalezhnosti Avenue.
Cluster hospital
Izmail City Central Hospital has been designated a cluster healthcare facility by the Odesa Regional Military Administration. The key areas of the program include
- Provision of free and discounted medicines to privileged categories of the population;
- development of palliative care, in particular for cancer patients;
- tuberculosis prevention;
- support for patients with orphan diseases, including phenylketonuria;
- providing inpatient treatment for war veterans and military personnel;
- updating the material and technical base of medical institutions.
Infectious diseases department
To strengthen the capacity of the cluster hospital, it is planned to terminate the lease agreement for the hospital building at 3 Tykhaya Street and incorporate the infectious diseases department into the city hospital. As a reminder, the relevant decision was unanimously approved by the deputies of the Izmail City Council at the 74th session of the Izmail City Council on February 6.
Several activities are planned to be carried out during the year: an inventory of the building's premises, inspection of the technical condition of the facility and communications; changes to the structure and staffing. According to the program's developers, this will allow expanding the list of medical services and fulfilling the terms of the contract with the National Health Service of Ukraine under the package "Healthcare facility readiness to provide medical care in emergency situations", which includes an infectious disease profile.
