Agricultural enterprises in the Mykolaiv region increased production by 27 percent

Agricultural production in the Mykolaiv region increased by 27 percent. This sharp increase was driven by crop production.

This was reported by the Main Statistics Office of the Mykolaiv Region.

At the same time, livestock production on private farms decreased by 1.4%, and at commercial enterprises —by 10.3%.

As of August 1, 2026, farms of all categories in the Mykolaiv region had harvested 2,507,900 metric tons of grain and legume crops. Compared to the same period last year, the gross harvest increased by 32.1%. The grain yield stands at 40.4 centners per hectare, which is 29.1% higher than last year’s figure.

Potato production totaled 43,300 metric tons, indicating a slight 2.4% decline in gross harvest volume compared to the previous period. The average yield for this crop increased by 1.1%.

The region harvested 45,000 metric tons of vegetables, which is 7.2% more than last year. 

The livestock sector saw a 3.3% decline. Raw milk production fell to 108,700 metric tons, a decline of 6.3%. The number of poultry eggs produced increased by 2.8% to 88.8 million.

Earlier,the enemy attacked a farm in the Mykolaiv region. Two men, aged 41 and 46, were injuredin the attack. They were hospitalized. The roof of a storage facility, a truck, and a tractor were damaged.
