The international community has supported Mykolaiv region for more than 300 million euros

In 2024, international partners continued to support the Mykolaiv region by allocating resources for its recovery and development. In total, the region was supported by more than three hundred million euros.
This is evidenced by the report of the head of Mykolaiv Regional State Administration Vitaliy Kim.
The total amount of international assistance amounted to 307 million euros. The Kingdom of Denmark has provided the region with 151 million euros, of which 75.5 million have already been used to implement projects. Another 156 million euros came from other partners.

Particular attention was paid to logistics. During the year, the Mykolaiv region received 86 pieces of equipment, including medical transport, school buses, excavators, fire trucks, dump trucks, transport for people with disabilities, and other types of specialized equipment. In total, since 2022, partners have provided 266 pieces of equipment to the region, which has significantly strengthened the capacity of communities.
International support has also reached local businesses. In 2024, 1,325 entrepreneurs received grants for business development totaling UAH 60 million.

International partnerships were also expanded. In 2024, memoranda of cooperation were signed with the Kingdom of Denmark, Lower Saxony in Germany, the West Pomeranian Voivodeship of Poland, the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic, and a number of Korean companies such as Hyundai Construction Equipment.
In addition, partnerships have been established between Mykolaiv and Glasgow (UK), Sindelfingen (Germany), and Kotka (Finland). Aalborg (Denmark) has also become Mykolaiv's sister city, and Voznesensk is the municipality of Iksat-Brande (Denmark).

In 2024, a delegation from the region paid working visits to Denmark and Germany, strengthening ties and attracting new resources. According to the report, this cooperation with international partners lays the foundation for the stable development and successful future of Mykolaiv Oblast.
In 2022-2023, the region received international assistance worth EUR 105.5 million. Of this, 75.5 million came from the Kingdom of Denmark, and 30 million from other partners. According to Vitalii Kim, head of Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, all international aid is directed to communities that have been under occupation or affected by active hostilities.
Also in 2024, Mykolaiv received support from international partners for UAH 3.6 billion in technical and humanitarian aid. Of this amount, UAH 2.3 billion was international technical assistance and UAH 475.7 million was humanitarian aid. The partners provided assistance to support the city's vital functions: generators, transformer substations, medicines and medical equipment.
