The property of Kherson Bread Factory was purchased 4 times cheaper. The auction was held for the third time, and the starting price was over UAH 12 million.
This is evidenced by data from the electronic trading system Prozorro.sale.
In early August, Kherson Bakery, which used to be one of the largest employers and taxpayers in the region, was put up for sale for the third time. The previous two attempts to sell the company failed due to the lack of buyers, and the plant was officially declared bankrupt.
This time, the starting price of the assets was UAH 12.5 million, while the first auction scheduled for April 4 had a starting price of UAH 20.9 million, and the second attempted sale of UAH 16.7 million was also unsuccessful.
The bakery's assets include a large production base: administrative and production premises with an area of over 8,000 m², warehouses, garages, a boiler house, a checkpoint, baking lines, refrigeration equipment, computer equipment and other means of production. According to media reports, the company's debts reached UAH 23.45 million, while the assets were valued at only UAH 9.59 million. It was not possible to resume the plant's operation due to lack of funds, lack of necessary equipment and potential investors.
The auction was held, and the property of Kherson Bakery was purchased by Bioorganic LLC for UAH 3.1 million. According to YouControl, the company was registered in 2016 with a capital of UAH 100 thousand in the Kherson region. The main activity of the company is the production of ready-made animal feed on farms. The company did not participate in tenders, and its total income for 2022-2024 did not exceed UAH 24 thousand.
Kherson Bakery was founded in 1996 on the basis of Khersonkhlib, a state-owned enterprise that had been operating since 1953 and included three production shops. In November 2024, the Economic Court of Odesa Region declared the plant bankrupt and opened liquidation proceedings.
The buildings were severely damaged by the hostilities: windows were smashed in many rooms, and there were holes in the roof and walls. The equipment has not been used for more than two years, shows signs of wear and tear, and its performance has not been tested. As stated in the auction terms, the buyer had to dismantle and transport the property at his own expense.
