Ports of Greater Odesa transshipped 146 million tons despite the war

Since the launch of the Ukrainian Export Corridor, the ports of Greater Odesa have handled over 146.5 million tons.
This was announced by Dmytro Nazarenko, Head of the Odesa Branch of the Sea Ports Authority, during the International Maritime and Military Exhibition BALTEXPO 2025, which took place in Gdansk, Poland.
According to him, the ports handled 5,596 vessels. In particular, the port of Odesa handled 1,528 vessels. Also, since the beginning of the full-scale aggression, more than 500 port infrastructure facilities, 116 civilian vessels have been damaged or destroyed, 157 civilians have been injured, and 161 facilities have been damaged directly on the territory of the Odesa seaport.
The exhibition also presented the port's infrastructure projects and plans for their further implementation. Dmytro Nazarenko invited international investors to cooperate.
After Russia withdrew from the grain deal, the ports of Greater Odesa were under blockade, which posed a serious threat to global food security, as Ukraine is one of the world's main grain suppliers.
Accordingly, with the help of the UN and Turkey, Ukraine organized a humanitarian corridor that allowed the resumption of grain exports and access to more than 40 countries.
Earlier, Oksana Kiktenko, Director of the Belgorod-Dniester Commercial Sea Port, presented the company's development concept in Baku. Oksana Kiktenko took part in the Black Sea-Caspian Logistics Forum 2025. On August 27, the process of transferring ownership of the Belgorod-Dniester Commercial Sea Port was completed. The port, which was sold at auction last November, is now fully privately owned.
