In 2024, 117 officials of Odesa region declared cryptocurrency, which put the region in sixth place in Ukraine and first among the southern regions. For comparison, 41 officials in Mykolaiv region declared crypto assets, and only 8 in Kherson region.
This is stated on the Opendatabot platform.
In general, Kyiv holds the lead in the number of officials with cryptocurrency (582 declarations). This is followed by Kyiv region (185), Kharkiv region (172), Dnipro region (167), and Lviv region (133).

Representatives of law enforcement agencies declare the most cryptocurrencies. The National Police of Ukraine listed crypto assets in 322 declarations (15% of all). The Prosecutor's Office is also in the lead with 240 declarations, and judges have filed 227 such documents.
The most popular cryptocurrencies among civil servants are the following:
- Tether (USDT) - declared by 802 officials;
- Bitcoin (BTC) - 731 declarations;
- Ethereum (ETH) - 713 declarations.
Among the leaders in terms of cryptocurrency holdings in Ukraine is Oleh Bondarenko, chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Environmental Policy, who declared 80 BTC (about UAH 279.4 million). MP Serhiy Maisel owns 200 Ethereum (UAH 15.5 million), and Vitaliy Brovko, head of a department at the Prosecutor General's Office, has 847,908 USDT (approximately UAH 35 million).

However, not all officials have kept their assets. For example, in 2021, Roman Saramaga, deputy head of the State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine, declared 380.95 BTC (now more than UAH 1.33 billion), but later said he had lost access.
The largest amount of ethereum - 1,800 units or more than UAH 140 million as of April 1 of this year - belongs to Ihor Osipov, a deputy of the Podil District Council of Odesa Oblast. However, in last year's declaration, the official noted that he had lost access to his assets.
Intent wrote that during the year, the family of Vitaliy Kim, the head of Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, significantly increased its financial assets, and the main new source of income was the sale of cryptocurrency.
According to the CPR, Mykyta Kuzkevych, a deputy of the Odesa Regional Council, was the leader among the deputies who declared cryptocurrency in 2022.
