Odesa is once again talking about creating an industrial park in the city.
This was discussed during the live broadcast of the Intent. Insight TV show, featuring Volodymyr Oros, chairman of the Dobropil Youth Center DOBRO.
He noted that industrial parks can be a reactive option for economic development, but their effectiveness depends on several key factors. First of all, according to Oros, a city or region must provide logistics and clear rules of the game. Businesses need predictability - stable working conditions, transparent tax conditions, and simplified procedures for launching production.
"However, the main issue is the sales market. Investors will not come to the region if it is not clear to whom they will sell their products. Therefore, it is important not only to create a territory with communications, but also to think about possible areas of production that will be in demand," he said.
The NGO representative noted that construction materials, components for infrastructure restoration, and defense products are currently in demand in Ukraine. In the future, when the market changes, industrial parks will be able to reorient to other needs, but this requires flexibility in planning at the beginning.
Intent wrote that the city council planned to build an industrial park in Odesa. A tender for the development of technical documentation has been announced. It is planned to spend more than 2 million hryvnias from the budget.
The previous episode was dedicated to the epidemic threat in Odesa. Recently, there have been more reports of closures of educational institutions in Odesa Oblast due to flu and acute respiratory infections, for example, a school and 140 classrooms were closed in Odesa.
How great is the threat of the disease, how to protect yourself and your family, and is it worth staying home? These and other questions were answered in the studio by Olena Kolodenko, director of Odesa Primary Health Care Center No. 3.
