Mykolaiv's Public Transport Upgrades: 167M Spent on Essentials

Last year, Mykolaivpastrans announced a series of procurements aimed at improving the city's public transportation. These included insurance services, bus repairs, fuel, electricity, auto parts, and even the modernization of security systems.

In particular, significant funds were allocated for diesel fuel and A-95 gasoline - almost 140 million hryvnias, which will ensure the smooth operation of the bus fleet. Also, UAH 1.2 million was allocated for lubricants and oils.
As for the purchase of energy, UAH 130,632 was spent on thermal energy and UAH 616,796 on electricity.
In addition, the company invested in upgrading its material and technical base: new batteries, tires, and even the Windows 11 operating system to modernize its digital infrastructure.
Tires for buses and cars cost UAH 4.8 million, and spare parts for vehicles cost UAH 2.6 million. Car batteries cost UAH 308,320. About UAH 1.6 million was also planned for the purchase of a diesel pickup truck.
Almost UAH 180 thousand was spent on laptops and about UAH 105.3 thousand on the Windows 11 operating system.
As for services, the company spent more than UAH 7.3 million on them. For example, insurance services cost about a million hryvnias. More than UAH 89 thousand was allocated for the preparation of design and estimate documentation for the installation of an automatic fire alarm and warning system at the enterprise.
More than half a million was spent on security services for road transport facilities. And 5.7 million hryvnias were allocated for the repair and maintenance of vehicles. Bus tickets were supposed to cost almost one hundred thousand.
In total, the company had to spend about 167 million hryvnias on the most expensive purchases over the year. The company's development is ongoing, and the procurement demonstrates a systematic approach to upgrading public transport and increasing its efficiency.
In 2024, the largest expenditures ofMykolaivski Parkswere made for the purchase of machinery, equipment, and maintenance of the city's green areas. The total amount of expenditures on landscaping amounted to about UAH 236.94 million.
At the same time,Mykolaivvodokanalspent over UAH 500 million. The main funds were used to reconstruct water supply networks, restore roads after the works and purchase electricity.
