Residents of Mykolaiv region filed 650 income tax returns, paying over UAH 7 million in taxes to the budget. At the same time, 50 citizens declared income of more than one million hryvnias.
This was reported by the press service of the State Tax Service in Mykolaiv region.
According to the tax service, as of March 1, 2025, residents of the Mykolaiv region filed 650 declarations of property and income for the past year. The total amount of taxes declared for payment is almost UAH 5.7 million in personal income tax (PIT) and UAH 1.4 million in military duty.
Among the declarants, there are 50 people who declared more than UAH 1 million of income. They paid UAH 1.8 million in personal income tax and more than UAH 300 thousand in military duty. Most of the millionaires received income abroad, from the sale of real estate and vehicles.
In addition, the declaration allows citizens to refund part of the tax paid as part of a tax rebate. This right was used by 145 people and they declared almost UAH 1 million for refund.
In 2024, the budgets of Mykolaiv region received more than UAH 9 billion. The largest revenues were generated by personal income tax (PIT), land payment, real estate tax and excise duty. Personal income tax became the main source of revenue, accounting for 67% of the total amount of revenues.
In 2025, Mykolaiv region demonstrated the highest tax growth rates and ranked second among Ukrainian regions in terms of general fund revenue growth. The increase in revenues is partly due to the relocation of businesses and people from areas where hostilities are ongoing or there is a temporary occupation.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, all of Ukraine's own budget revenues have been directed to defense, which accounts for about half of all expenditures. Despite the budget deficit, problems in foreign trade, and attacks on energy infrastructure, the country has managed to maintain macroeconomic stability, gradually restore the energy system, and improve consumer sentiment.
