Three people's deputies elected to represent the interests of voters in Odesa Oblast in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, who declared more than one million hryvnias in income in 2024, received a total of 232,700 hryvnias in compensation for renting housing in Kyiv over four months.

This was reported by the press service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

As noted in the parliamentary documents, these are Mykola Skoryk, Oleksandr Tkachenko, and Oleh Kolev.

Earlier, the Center for Public Investigations analyzed the annual declarations of MPs elected from Odesa region. The leader in terms of personal income was Mykola Skoryk, MP from the banned OPFL party. In 2024, he declared UAH 3.2 million.

The third position was shared by two MPs from the Servant of the People party, Oleksandr Tkachenko and Oleh Kolev, who declared UAH 1.7 million each. Both of them have been consistently among the five richest MPs from Odesa region for several years in a row.

According to Article 35 of the law "On the Status of People's Deputy of Ukraine," members of the Verkhovna Rada receive compensation for renting an apartment or paying for a hotel room, provided that they are not provided with housing in the capital and have a residence registration more than 30 kilometers from the city limits of Kyiv.

A total of five MPs received compensation for four months. In addition to the millionaires, Serhiy Koleboshyn and Oleksiy Leonov also benefited from it. Both received 39,650 hryvnias in March and April.

In February, these five MPs received a total of 101.1 thousand hryvnias for January, all except Oleksandr Tkachenko, who received 20 thousand 150 hryvnias - he received 19.5 thousand hryvnias, and in March, all five MPs received 18.2 thousand hryvnias for February, respectively, for a total of 91 thousand hryvnias.
