Izmail port to pay contractor from Chornomorsk more than 5 million for tug repair

The port of Izmail has recently signed an agreement with Scorpion Marine LLC from the city of Chornomorsk, Odesa region, to repair the 42-year-old tug-pusher Portovoy-1.
This is reported by Intent with reference to the public procurement website Prozorro.
The Black Sea company was the only bidder for the services. The contract value amounted to UAH 4.45 million, but together with VAT, it came to UAH 5.34 million.
The contractor will carry out preparatory work in the engine and boiler room, clean out three fuel tanks, repair propellers, dismantle the main engine, replace the outer hull lining and paint it, and repair the kingston box, which is a box in which kingstones are installed: latches or valves that block access to the ship's system. It is also planned to develop technical documentation for replacing two old diesel generators with new ones and to carry out this work directly, followed by the adjustment of the systems. After the repairs are completed, mooring tests are planned at the berth, equipment adjustment, and submission to the Shipping Register.
What is the object of repair - the tug-pusher Portovoy-1? The vessel was built in 1983 in Zrenjanin (Yugoslavia). It is 20.5 meters long and 8.7 meters wide, with a beam height of 3.5 meters. The gross tonnage is 145 tons.
The contractor is to complete the entire scope of work in Izmail within 40 working days after signing the vessel's acceptance certificate.
Earlier, Scorpion Marine LLC was awarded a non-competitive contract for the repair of the Izmail-8 motor ship by the Izmail Commercial Sea Port for UAH 15 million.
According to the YouControl analytical service, Scorpion Marine LLC was registered in Chornomorsk in 2018 with a registered capital of UAH 302 thousand. The main activity is the repair and maintenance of ships and boats. The sole founder is Yevhen Prysyazhnyk. The company is managed by Dmitry Koshev. The company repairs boats for the Reni and Izmail ports, the USPA, and military units.
